The city of Barcelona has once again hosted what is considered the the most extreme horror passage in Europe. The attraction, which is called ‘Matadero’, is located within the Horrorland Parka temporary park dedicated precisely to terror and where, in addition to this specific passage, it houses other types of shows and haunted houses.
To access what is the most terrifying experience you must be of legal age but, in addition, visitors are required to sign a legal consent which warns of the extreme risks that can occur inside such as blows, drowning, serious injuries and even, as the writing itself states, death.
The announcer and reporter Karin Herrero has been one of the most recent participants and has recounted her experience through TikTok. “Signatures so that the organization is exempt from responsibilityeven if something serious happens to you,” he describes in a video published on social networks, in which he has also shown the physical marks that the experience left on his body.
“They treat you like a pig, they put you on all fours, they beat you and they force you to eat straw,” adds the announcer. Thus, the truth is that the ticket is not suitable for everyone and includes situations such as walking in underwear through various scenarios which, with music and atmosphere, simulate a real slaughterhouse. Furthermore, it is done in complete solitude, without an audience and without companions in the experience.
Despite everything, the truth is that the experience is regulated by a system of levels, with the participants having to choose between level X (less extreme) and level XXX (a much more brutal one). Herrero chose the first level, which allowed him to use a safe word to indicate when he wanted to end the experience if he wished.
“Even if it was just the softest level, it was absolutely crazy. “They play with your mind and make you feel totally helpless,” details. He also acknowledges that he had a bad time, but assures that he would do it again.
The experience thus offers an entire experience that combines gore, sexual and psychological content. In this way, it uses disturbing sounds and dim lights, with moments like stick your head in a deep fryer that looks like it contains boiling oilor lie on a lounger and simulate real punctures.
