The general secretary of the PSOE and president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has obtained more than 90% of the support of the delegates of the 41st Federal Congress of the party to ratify his new Executive, in which he maintains María Jesús Montero and Santos Cerdán as numbers 2 and 3, respectively, and signs the Government delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, as head of Equality.
This has been detailed by the leader of the Andalusian socialists and president of the Federal Congress that is being held in Seville, Juan Espadasafter the recount of the votes of the federal bodies of the partywhich occurred this Sunday.
Specifically, the delegates were called this Sunday morning to vote on the federal bodies, among which is the new socialist leadership, to ratify the lists that were drawn up this Saturday until after midnight.
As detailed by the PSOE, more than 90% of the 1,028 delegates who have come to vote in this 41st Federal Congress have given their support to the new socialist leadership, in which Sánchez has maintained his hard core of Montero and Santos Cerdán, although he has incorporated up to a twenty changes in its expanded Executive.
One of the main novelties of this new direction is the entry of the current delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, at the head of the Equality Department and the ratification of the socialist deputy for Burgos Esther Peña as spokesperson.
Similarly, the Federal Ethics and Guarantees Commission of the PSOE has also had broad support, more than 90%, of the socialist delegates with a vote in the 41st Congress, a percentage similar to that achieved by the Federal Committee.
