THE PSOE has agreed this Saturday to include in the Constitution the revaluation of pensionsas well as homosexual marriage, the voluntary interruption of pregnancy and gender parity in institutions, to protect these rights and consecrate them against regressive agendas.
It is one of the agreements reached in the working commissions organized within the framework of the 41st Federal Congress of the PSOE, which must approve a political presentation that serves as a roadmap for the party for the coming years.
According to socialist sources, the working commissions, with more than 6,000 amendments on the table, have also endorsed placing access to universal public healthcare at the same legal level as the right to education, blocking any attempt to privatize the system. In turn, they have agreed to move towards a 36-hour working week per week in 2030, a proposal that was already contemplated in the framework presentation, which in principle established the working day of 37.5 hours per weekbut I assumed they had to go further.

Against corruption and towards self-financing of the Church
Amendments have also been negotiated in which the PSOE conspires to fight corruption with forcefulness from the penal, administrative, constitutional and police plan, point out sources from the provincial delegations that participate in the meetings.
The framework presentation is committed to repealing the educational agreements signed with the Holy See in 1979 and now, through amendments, the socialists also commit to the “self-financing” of the Church and emphasize the need to promote reparation to the victims of sexual abuse.
Other proposals included reaffirm the republican tradition of the PSOE, while maintaining the constitutional commitment, which includes the parliamentary monarchy.
In other sections, amendments have been agreed to highlight the need to streamline and modernize the administration of Justice, strengthen the fight against disinformation and pursue fake news, put limits on anonymity on networks and advocate for the regulation of artificial intelligence.
