Artificial Intelligence has come into our lives to improve it, either to make our work easier or to speed up tasks that are usually tedious and slow, but that when done by a machine can be completed in a matter of seconds. We have not yet unlocked even a fifth of the potential of this technology, but little by little companies are adopting it and discovering the advantages that AI offers.
One of these companies that has integrated AI tools and has already obtained benefits from this technology is the BBVA bank, who five months ago distributed 3,000 ChatGPT Enterprise licenses (a version of this AI designed specifically for companies) among its employees.
And as they themselves have confirmed, 83% of employees have adopted this technology into their work routine and have created more than 3,000 personalized GPTs to help them in a specialized and personalized way in their tasks. Each of these GPTs are adaptations of the tool to carry out specific tasks, ranging from analyze financial information to help answer legal inquiries of customers in less than 24 hours, or track customer satisfaction.
Of them, 700 are available in BBVA’s own GPT Store which is open to all users who use the tool, due to its potential interest for the entire organization.
“Our adoption strategy has always focused on placing people at the heart of everything we do, and putting this technology in the hands of those who face the problems, the businesses, the processes… because they are the ones who really know where the opportunities are,” explains Elena Alfaro, global head of AI adoption at BBVA.
Among some of the most notable cases is the Retail Banking Legal Assistant GPT, which helps BBVA’s advisory team respond to the more than 40,000 legal queries from clients that they receive annually through the office managers. The GPT automates the extraction of a company’s most relevant data and its comparison with that of its counterparts in its sector. In this way, analysts, who monitor all the results of generative AI to avoid errors, They are freed from the more mechanical steps of the process and can focus on strategic and creative tasks with more added value.
“ChatGPT helps us go from idea to prototype in a way that was impossible before,” says Ricardo Martín Manjón, Global Director of Data at BBVA. ““Everyone, from Uruguay to Mexico to Türkiye, can build solutions with these capabilities simultaneously.”
