The first vice president of the Government, María Jesús Montero, said this Tuesday in the Senate that puts his “hand on the fire” by the Secretary of Organization of the PSOE, Santos Cerdán, and by his cabinet director, Carlos Moreno, who will take legal action against Víctor de Aldama for his accusations without evidence.
At the beginning of the session, in response to the first questions, asked by the UPN senator, María Caballero, the also Minister of Finance and deputy general secretary of the PSOE made it clear that she was not going to comment on the statement at the National Court last Thursday. “from a confessed criminal.”
This is what De Aldama, a businessman linked to the alleged corruption plot, has referred to, who said that He had given money in hand in cafes to both Cerdán and Moreno, without having yet provided any evidence.
Montero recalled that De Aldama testified as a defendant and, therefore, no obligation to tell the truthwhich helped her to end her provisional detention, for which, according to the vice president of the Government, “she told a series of lies directed at honorable people.”
Moreno is her “full confidence” and a “magnificent public servant”, so it is “an outrage that he mentioned her” and for whom she puts her hand in the fire, Montero reiterated. Later, regarding Cerdán, he repeated the expression: “I also put my hand in the fire.”
The minister has also said that she has not had “never” any meeting either with Víctor de Aldama or with another under investigation, Koldo García, and that he neither knew the first nor would he have recognized him if they coincided in any event, and he did know the second, as an advisor to former minister José Luis Ábalos, but he never had any dealings with him.
