The Civil Guard has arrested a 42-year-old man in Granadilla de Abona, in the south of Tenerife, for attempted murder of his partner, a 33-year-old woman of Colombian origin, whom he attacked with a knife in the presence of the daughter of both, one year old.
The detainee, of Italian nationality, entered the victim’s home and attacked her with a knife in the chest and head, for which she had to be taken to the hospital, sources close to the investigation have informed EFE.
Subsequently, the aggressor tried to take his own life with the murder weapon, cutting his neck, and was also taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The arrest occurred around 2:30 p.m. this Sunday, according to sources.
