The Government defends the attorney general and asks that Lobato explain why he registered his messages with Moncloa before a notary

The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, defended this Monday the actions of the State Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz, in the events related to Isabel Díaz Ayuso’s partner after the UCO report in which he points out a “preeminent participation” of the head of the Public Ministry in the alleged leak of the email that demonstrated that it was Alberto González Amador who offered an agreement to the Prosecutor’s Office recognizing his tax crimes and not vice versa.

Furthermore, Torres has said that it is up to the leader of the PSOE of Madrid, Juan Lobato, to respond to the notarial act that he requested with the communications he had maintained with members of the Government.

This is how Torres spoke at a press conference from Moncloa about the UCO report, insisting on investigating the attorney general and when asked how the Government interprets Juan Lobato’s decision to record the conversations with the head of cabinet of the current minister Óscar López, which has led to his summons as a witness in the case. “That will have to be answered by the person you mention,” Ángel Víctor Torres responded during this press conference, alluding to Juan Lobato, Europa Press reports.

In any case, Minister Torres has said, “so that people can understand themselves, that the Government found out from the press about this latest information and, regarding the work of the attorney general with the events related to Isabel Díaz’s partner Ayuso believes that “he did nothing other than deny the hoax.”

“What happened was that the director of the cabinet of the president of the Community of Madrid distributed information that was objectively false, related to the judicial procedure that was being followed against the partner of the president of the Community of Madrid. And what the state attorney general did was nothing other than clarify that this was fake news. Therefore, deny the hoax and tell the truth. “That is what has happened,” he maintained.
