The artist had already announced in July that, once she finished her shows in Las Vegas, he planned to pause his career for a while: “You’re not going to see me for an incredibly long time. “I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and now I want to live it.”
He had also commented that he had decided to do a residency in Las Vegas instead of going on tour thinking about his eleven-year-old son Angelo: “I did it so I could maintain his normal life.”
