Known as the tailor of the Ibex 35 for dressing many of its CEOs and directors of large companies, Joaquín Fernández Prats has a client list full of well-known names. The heart of the business is its own Joaquina tailoring enthusiast who, since he was very young, has dreamed of cuts, fabrics and patterns. “I come from a family of artisans dedicated to the trade, so I demonstrated aptitude from a young age,” he says. After passing through the most reputable workshops in the capital – including the El Corte Inglés tailoring workshop -, today it has your own temple in which it combines tradition and future to offer impeccable and tailored tailoring, a 300-meter private room with a bar and everything ready for your visitors to live a luxury experience. In addition, they have a corner within the emblematic Wellington Hotel, a space in which to measure and test customers from the area or those staying at the hotel and in 2025 they plan to open a third point of sale.
Son of tailor officers, Joaquín Fernández Prats The job is in his blood. He grew up with threads and fabrics, which became his first toys. At the age of 14 he obtained the title of cutter and officer by the Madrid Tailors Association and although he recognizes that his current suits are far from the first pieces he made, he knows that combining craftsmanship with new ways of doing is essential to make a difference in his proposal: «Technology is essential in a craft as manual as it is. tailoring; “It allows us to go further and cross borders,” explains Fernández Prats. Among its works, it offers options in both industrial and artisanal sizes, all personalized to the client’s taste. But Almeida is just one more in his long list of famous clients. Their suits wear between 50 and 60 hours of work from taking measurements, selecting fabrics, cutting, tailoring, testing and fine-tuning, to “the most important thing, ironing, something that requires a lot of care and dedication,” says Joaquín. The price can vary greatly and depends largely on the fabric: “We generally start from 2,900 eurosyes but for example a suit made of other more luxurious fabrics could cost up to 30,000 euros», he assures.
