The Emergency Assistance Center 112 of the Government of Cantabria has coordinated about thirty incidents this Saturday due to the strong wind that has hit the region. The highest number of incidents has been recorded in Santander due to objects falling onto the road and to ensure infrastructure, although the regional services have intervened in 12 other municipalities due to this same meteorological phenomenon, as reported by the Executive in a press release.
Among the notable incidents, there have been power outages in Cillorigo de Liébanaand the firefighters of the Cantabrian Government of the Laredo park have intervened due to the detachment of some sheets from the roof of a local supermarket. In this regard, the regional troops have also cleaned up the area to prevent more objects from falling and have tied up the loose plates to prevent new landslides.
