Grupo Sanjose doubled its net profit in the first nine months by registering 23.17 million euros96.2% more than the 11.81 million a year ago. Growth supported by construction activity and the positive operational progress of the Galician company. Specifically, the company chaired by Jacinto Rey recorded a turnover of 1,148.4 million euros at the end of the third quarter, which implies an increase of 17.8% compared to the same period in 2023 (975 million). Meanwhile, the gross operating result (ebitda) reached 49.52 million euros, which represents an increase of 10.2% in the interannual rate (44.93 million last year).
The greater increase in revenue compared to EBITDA caused the margin ebitda will be limited to 4.3%, compared to the 4.6% it presented in September 2023. The margin ebitfor its part, rose from 2.5% to 2.7%.
Construction, Grupo Sanjose’s main activity, accounted for 92% of the total turnover and represents 82% of the total portfolio. Specifically, this area recorded revenues of 1,056.4 million euros, which represents an increase of 21.1% compared to the first nine months of 2023, cwhen it registered 872.7 million. This figure represented 89.5% of the total.
The concessions and services division generated 56.40 million euros, a similar amount (-0.1%) to September 2023 (56.47 million). The energy activity, for its part, accumulated revenues of 7.1 million euros (-37%) and the real estate and urban development activity reached 5.66 million (-47.2%).
Grupo Sanjose boosted its income in Spain by 21.8%, meaning that the national market now covers 84% (968 million euros). A year ago the weight was 82%. Sales in the international market, for their part, rose slightly, 0.1%, up to 180.38 million.
In terms of ebitdathe activity of construction generated 40.17 million81.1%. The figure improves by 35.7% compared to September 2023, when it stood at 29.6 million.
The group’s portfolio amounts to 2,923 million9.8% more than last December. Construction activity accounts for 82%.
Grupo Sanjose’s net cash position stood at 374.8 million euros (295.7 million in December).
