A Jet2 airline plane from Fuerteventura bound for Glasgow has had to make an emergency landing at the Santiago-Rosalía de Castro Airport after being detected smoke in the cabin when it was off the Galician coast. There were 170 passengers and six crew members on board, with no injuries reported.
According to 112 Galicia, the staff at the Compostela airport requested the emergency center at around 7:15 p.m. collaboration of health personnel and firefighters, since a plane with smoke in the cabin was about to make an emergency landing in the Galician capital.
However, the same airport staff immediately confirmed that the aircraft had been able to land without problems and that no one had been hurt.
