The Civil Guard is looking for the driver of the vehicle that caused an accident with at least two deaths in the Cartagena town of El Algar. The car was carrying a trailer, which was transporting a boat that became loose on RM-12 and collided with another vehicle on the road, according to The Opinion of Murcia.
Two people, about 40 years old, lost their lives in the accident this Saturday night, around 9:30 p.m. According to Europa Press, eight other people traveling aboard six passenger cars also ended up colliding and their occupants have minor injuries.
Now, the agents are looking for the escaped driver and specialists from the Benemérita Judicial Police are investigating the event due to suspicions about the boat that, due to its characteristics, could be related to drug trafficking.
The regional newspaper states that the deceased were two British tourists, who were in their vehicle along with a third person, who survived the crash.
