The Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Miguel Corgos, has announced that before the end of this year the Xunta will approve the public job offer of the general administration for 2024 with 593 new free access places. In this regard, Corgos has highlighted that the modernization of public administration and the generational change are among “the priorities of the Galician Government”, to provide a better service to citizens, “with public employees who respond to the challenges of the 21st century.” , said.
The opposition groups in Parliament, BNG and PSdeG, have asked for a “reset” the budgets of the Xunta for 2025, considering that they benefit construction companies, highway concessionaires and large fortunes. However, the PP, with the majority in the Chamber, has rejected the amendments to return the project, which continues its full debate.
In his speech, he reiterated, as he has been doing since his presentation, that the public accounts for 2025 are prepared “with rigor and prudence”, and he has claimed institutional stability to provide “certainty” to families and companies.
The councilor has also highlighted the “good evolution” of the Galician economy, which is already five years of growth. In the labor market section, he pointed out that the Xunta hopes that in 2025 five years of job creation will also be achieved.
