Russian politicians have stated that President Joe Biden has given a “big step towards World War III” after his administration reportedly gave green light to Ukraine to bomb targets inside Russia with long-range missiles supplied by the United States.
The decision, which occurs on the eve of the 1000th day of war in Ukraine amid the final days of the Biden administration, it heralded a torrent of apocalyptic warnings of Russian legislators and parliamentarians.
“This is a big step towards the beginning of World War III,” said Vladimir Dzhabarov, vice president of the foreign affairs committee of the upper house and retired general of the security service, loyal to Putin.
A Russian legislator also assures that Biden, with his new decision on long-range missiles, is risking a Third World War. Russian lawmaker Maria Butina said Monday that President Joe Biden’s administration was risking World War III by allowing Ukraine to use weapons made in the United States to deeply attack Russia.
“These guys, the Biden administration, are trying to escalate the situation to the maximum while they still have power and are still in office,” Butina told Reuters. “I very much hope that (Donald) Trump will reverse this decision if it has been made because they are seriously risking the start of World War III, which does not benefit to anyone.”
They urge Europe not to allow it
A Russian official urged Britain and France to refuse to follow Biden administration’s tactics to allow Ukraine to deploy long-range Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles in Russia.
Unconfirmed news from the French newspaper Le Figaro indicated that both London and Paris were considering their position after months of rejecting Zelensky’s pleas to use the feared munitions against Russian targets.
Senior Russian diplomat Mikhail Ulyanov, the Kremlin’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, said: “They have the opportunity to reconsider their position if they are really concerned about European security.” “There is no longer any room for primitive political games.”
