Saint Odon of Cluny, a French religious, received his education at the cathedral school of Saint Martin of Tours. During his youth, he moved at the courts of the Count of Anjou and the Duke of Aquitaine. At the age of 19, after recovering from an illness, he dedicated his life to consecration and the priesthood, being ordained. He was appointed abbot of the monastery of Cluny, which at the time had only 12 monks and was still under construction. From that position, with the support of Pope John XI, he guided several monastic temples. Saint Odo of Cluny died in the year 942.
