Sometimes life takes a turn and move to another country is not an easy decision. Some are clear about it because it is a step that is taken for work reasons or because they want to be closer to their family or partner, but on other occasions the change seems riskier when it is intended start almost from scratch. This path is full of surprises and, why not, some difficulties at the beginning.
For this reason, many are surprised when moving is easy. And this is what just happened to Jimi, a Belgian ‘influencer’ who settled in Torrevieja, on the Costa Blanca, just two weeks ago. «I’m going to quit my job now move to Spain», he announced a few days ago on his account TikTok @jimizerr in a publication that caused a lot of interest.
He works as a painter and then explained his life-changing plan because he was “fed up with bad weather and tired of everything being so expensive” in his native country. Two weeks later, he uploaded a post in which he sent a message to his compatriots and asked them “what is preventing you from moving to another country.” Jimi has told his story and more than 15,000 people have heard it in just one day.

«I moved from my country to Spain two weeks ago and everyone told me ‘Jimi, don’t do it, you’ll be back in two weeks…’, he begins his video, in which he makes it clear that they told him endlessly that he wouldn’t earn money and that he wouldn’t find a job either. “Blah blah blah…”he responds with a contemptuous tone to all those who encouraged him not to take the step.
So, Jimi wants to answer them. “I got all the documents I needed, which is basically the NIE to be able to open a bank account or find a job,” he remarks, adding that today “I have an apartment, I have a job». “I don’t know if I had said it…”, he says ironically with a sarcastic tone, taking into account that he has made several videos explaining it.
«Look, this is my apartment. This is the view from my apartment,” he shows his followers a landscape full of apartments and with views of the sea. With a very proud tone that shows that he is more than satisfied with the decision he made, Jimi explains that he pays 500 euros “for this beautiful view” and that it has a very nice apartment.
To finish, the ‘influencer’ sends a message to his followers. “What I want to make clear to you guys is that if you really want to do something, such as moving to Spain coming from a country where it is cold, it rains every day and everything is expensive, it is possible,” he cries, insisting that ” “We have opportunities here.” «If you really want something to happen, just do it and be confident.», he ends his video.
