These are the 7 finalist cars that will compete for the award for the best car of the year 2025

Next January 10, at the Brussels International Motor Show, we will find out which model is the winner of the 2025 edition of The Car Of The Year award. The list of the seven finalists has already been made public.

Nerves were on edge because of the 42 new cars on the long list of candidates competing for the best car of the year 2025 (The Car Of The Year) alone 7 would go to the final phase before the final election on January 10. The 60 members of the COTY jury, from 23 countries (five of them from Spain), have just cast their votes in the first round and have selected the final list. Let us remember that in the 2024 edition the Renault Scenic won, which surpassed 6 other candidates in the final vote: BMW 5 Series, BYD Seal, Kia EV9, Peugeot 3008, Toyota C-HR and Volvo EX30.

From now on, The juries will have 8 weeks to thoroughly test the candidates and issue their scores to choose the best in Europe. The final test of the candidates for The Car Of The Year 2025 will take place on January 8 and 9 at the Mettet circuit, near Brussels, with voting closing at 5:30 p.m. that same day. The name of the winner will be announced at 11:30 in the morning on January 10 at the Brussels Motor Show.
