The Christmas Lottery is just around the corner and, like every December 22, millions of Spaniards will try their luck with one or more tenths. This draw, which is part of the Christmas tradition in Spain, usually generates great expectation among the most superstitious, who look for predictions and signs to guess the winning number.
In recent years, however, technology has added an extra option for them: artificial intelligenceto which some have begun to consult year after year in search of clues to find the long-awaited Gordo. In this way, the popularity of tools like ChatGPT has made many turn to this system to try to predict the result of the draw. Something for which, it should be noted, there is no scientific basis to support its effectiveness.
And it must be taken into account that their answers are based on statistical analysis, which in itself is incorrect in a draw like the lottery, based on pure chance. There is no historical data or pattern that can predict which number will come up, as they all have the same probabilities regardless of whether they have appeared in the past or not.
This is the best method to win the 2024 Christmas Lottery, according to Artificial Intelligence
Anyway, in a hypothetical exercise, ABC has asked ChatGPT to try to predict the winning number for this year’s Christmas Lottery Jackpot. To this demand, the popular tool has responded that it cannot solve it, so it has been asked to predict it using statistics.
To answer these questions, ChatGPT analyzed the historical series of Christmas Lottery draws since its inception in 1812. This extensive history, spanning more than two centuries and 212 draws (two of them in the Civil War), has allowed the AI to perform a probabilistic analysis. According to his calculation, one of the most likely numbers to come out this year would be 01925.
This year there will be more series per issue
This year, the Christmas Giveaway also brings an important novelty for players. State Lotteries and Betting has increased the number of series from 185 to 193, which means that there will be more tenths at stake. At the same time, this expansion implies greater revenue for the State, which benefits from the increase in ticket sales.
It should be remembered that this draw is followed by more than 25 million people throughout Spain each year, and that the average spending per person is about 70 euros in this lottery, a figure that has been increasing in recent years.
