The CEO of Bankinter, Gloria Ortizhas assured during the ’31 ABC-Deloitte Financial Sector Meeting’ that in Spain there are enormous possibilities for growth, and that the entity will continue with positive dynamics.
Among these reasons for growth, Ortiz has confessed that he sees «concern about pensions«, and that pushes a growth in savings, with which these lines of business are impacted.
In addition, the CEO of Bankinter has also indicated that credit will be recovered and that, in property banking, which has been affected by the drop in rates, it will benefit because it makes it interesting to achieve profitability.
In this sense, Ortiz has maintained at the financial meeting that in recent years they have increased their service offeringand that have gone towards the model of a specialized bank.
Regarding the transformation caused by sustainability, the CEO of Bankinter has assured that they have always been involved, and for staying at the forefront of these indicators. He has also specified that they have climate ratings so that the role of banks is fundamental in this aspect.
Regarding technological development, Ortiz has boasted of being a very digital bank, something that forces them to maintain a high rate of investments, and above all in an intelligent and pragmatic way.
