The rains surprised several towns in western Almería this Monday afternoon. A strong waterspout has unloaded in the Dalías area. The intensity of the rainfall has caused several boulevards to emerge and the pre-emergency due to the risk of flooding to be activated, with an orange warning, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
From 112 they have indicated that some notices have been received starting at 4:00 p.m., especially for affected roads, including the A7 highway as it passes through kilometer 831 near Balanegra. The DGT itself has communicated difficult driving conditions in both directions, around kilometer 829. In this sense, several drivers have warned of the existence of heavy rains in the area, which have temporarily affected traffic and forced firefighters to be mobilized for drainage tasks.
The rains have also affected the road around Pampanico, on the AL3303 in the ejidense municipality, where calls have also been received about several overflowing sewers. The rainfall has led toat the exit of different ramblas which, for the moment, have not caused any personal injury.
The Automatic Hydrological Information System (SAIH) of the Hidrosur Network has reported rainfall of up to 31.7 liters per square meter average falls in the Benínar-Aguadulce canal in one hour between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.–, with 41.5 liters per square meter accumulated in the last 12 hours.

The mayor of Balanegra, Nuria Rodríguez, pointed out that they have experienced «moments of great uncertainty because the rambla came with a lot of water” from areas above Balanegra and Campo de Dalías suddenly.
