The general feeling is that nothing stops an audiovisual adaptation of a video game from being excellent, and it is extracted from such award-winning releases as Super Mario Bros. On the one hand because, as Fallou (already pending its second season) is an ambitious project managed by Amazon MGM Studiosand on the other hand because one of the producers behind him is Ari Arad.
