The protest in the Valencian capital was capped by a banner with the motto “Mazón resigned“and an image of the president of cap per avall. The protesters have denounced that the Government did not know how to act quickly and that the management has demonstrated “a great lack of capacity and efficiency to manage any crisis“. While the cap is being transferred to the Palau of the Generalitat Valenciana, slogans have been raised against Mazón and other Spanish authorities such as Pedro Sánchez, the title of the “assassins.”
At first the mobilization had to be silent to show respect for the more than 200 people who have died because of the floods, but finally the silence has not been respected. The holder of the convening organizations, Anna Oliverhas stated to ACN that “the indignation is palpable in the environment” and that the critics against Mazón “are escorted to Palau for as long as it is.”
