Two of the bodies found in Letur (Albacete) after the DANA that devastated this population on October 29, have been identified as those of Juan Alejandro and Monicatwo of those missing in this municipality as a result of the flood.
This has been confirmed by sources from the regional government to Europa Press who have indicated that, after these identifications, the only thing left to confirm is that the last of the bodies that remain to be identified belongs to Manuelalso missing.
That of Juan Alejandro was the third of the bodies found by the search teams last Tuesday, while that of Mónica was the fifth and was recovered a day later. Monica was also the wife of Jonathan, another of those killed by the Dana in Letur. So, the bodies identified so far correspond to Dolores, Antonia, Jonathan, Juan Alejandro and Mónica. They were all residents of the town of Albacete.
The Minister of Transport, Oscar Puentereported this Friday that the death toll from DANA has risen to 223. Of them, 215 have died in the province of Valenciasix in Castilla-La Mancha and one in Andalusia. Of the 215 deaths in Valencia, 208 already have an autopsy. Puente has also reported that the number of missing remains at 78a figure initially provided this Thursday.
