Last September, 8,035 companies were created in our country, 19.3% more than in the same month of 2023. The capital subscribed for its constitution – the amount of money that the partners or shareholders commit -, in turn, registered an annual increase of 4.1%. However, in average terms this last value decreased by 12.8% to stand at 36,059 euros. The data is from the latest statistics on Commercial Companies from the National Statistics Institute.
Regarding capital increases, 1,942 companies did so in the ninth month of the year, 13.8% more than in the same month of 2023. The capital subscribed for these increases, in turn, increased by 6.0%. 6%.
Of course, we must also take into account the companies that were dissolved in the same month. According to the INE, there were 1,391, 11.7% more than in September 2023, and 84.4% of them did so voluntarily.
Regarding the type of companies that were created, the majority (18.1%) corresponded to commerce and 16.1% to real estate, finance and insurance. And of the dissolved companies, again, the majority belonged to commerce (17.9%) and 15.0% to real estate, finance and insurance.
By autonomous communities, the Foral Community of Navarra (78.3%), La Rioja (76.5%) and the Region of Murcia (45.8%) presented the largest annual increases in the number of commercial companies created in September, and Castilla y León (-8.2%), Principality of Asturias (-4.5%) and Castilla – La Mancha (-2.8%) recorded the largest decreases. At the same time, in absolute terms Madrid was the autonomous community in which the most companies were created (1,928), followed by Andalusia (1,534) and Catalonia (1,262).
