Should we fear a rise of the extreme right in Spain?

Donald Trump’s victory has fueled fears that the occasional prominence that the extreme right has been playing in recent times in Spain will become an unstoppable trend. The growing presence of this world in the media, including conventional media and particularly in some television channels, and greater activism by ultra sympathizers in citizen meeting places, reinforce this concern.

Vox has 33 deputies in Congress, is present in a good part of the regional parliaments, is part of the far-right group Patriots for Europe, where it coincides with some of the strongest parties of that sign on the continent and, in addition, has a good relationship with their Trumpist counterparts in the United States. It is not little, but it is not so much as to threaten the Spanish political future.
