A total of 10 energy projects in equipment in the city of Saragossa with an investment close to 1.2 million euros is the project that the Zaragoza City Council, through the Urban Planning area, is working on in order to modernize lighting and energy consumption systems and avoid the emission of 702.73 tons of CO2 annually into the atmosphere.
The 10 installations in turn allow progress in green energy and reduce energy costs, since the actions are based on new self-consumption photovoltaic plants on the roofs of municipal buildings, improvements in energy efficiency of the systems air conditioning and the change in lighting systems. Energy equipment projects include the neighborhoods del Actur, Casablanca, El Rabal, La Almozara, Casco Historico and San Juan de Mozarrifar.
The investments are in different phases. For example, three of them are already ending. For example, the new 25 kVA photovoltaic plant in the CDM Actur for a value of 24,809.40 euros VAT included. In this municipal sports center, 54 photovoltaic panels have been installed that will produce 41,735 kWh. Electrical energy will be generated during the day with the photoltaic plant and will be injected into the electrical installation for self-consumption.
The project is also advanced in the Isaac Valero Civic Centerin Casablanca, to improve the energy efficiency of the air conditioning system. With an investment of 42,289.50 euros VAT included, work is being done on the installation of the new heat pump, the new network of air ducts, the connection of the electrical installation and the control for the new installed equipment, and the work masonry and civil works associated with the reform. The energy savings by replacing the air conditioning machine is estimated at around 30%. Progress is also being made in the air conditioning of the Pyrenees Nursery School on its ground floor, with an investment of 53,218.14 euros, VAT included, which lacked a cooling system.
In addition to these three advanced projects, a total of 7 are in the bidding phasen. This is the case of changing the lighting in different sports facilities in the city such as the PDM San Juan de Mozarrifar, with an investment of 34,840.36 euros and an estimated saving in energy consumption of more than 38%.
These works will also be undertaken in the La Almozara Municipal Sports Pavilion in Puerta Sancho with an investment of 27,575.34 euros, VAT included, and a saving that is in turn around 38%, as well as in the PDM Río Ebro del Actur, with 33,911.24 euros, and an expected saving in energy consumption greater than 73%.
Other planned actions are the adaptation of air conditioning for the use of heat pumps in three municipal buildings. Among them is the CDM Alberto Maestro for the renovation of the hot and cold production plant for greater energy efficiency, with energy consumption savings of 15%. In it Zero Emissions Building Likewise, action will be taken to use electric energy for heating with a heat pump through hydraulic reform and the installation of another heat pump.
In it PDM Palafox The current thermal group will be replaced by a high-temperature water-water heat pump to improve the energy performance of the production system and decarbonize the installation by replacing the boiler with the heat pump. Finally, another of the energy projects focuses on Fire Station number 1 with new photovoltaic installations for self-consumption that will expand the existing ones. The 20 KVA plant has already been put out to tender.
