He Murcian lawyer José Luis Mazón has filed a complaint with the Tax Inspection of the State Attorney General’s Office against the chief prosecutor of the Region of Murcia, José Luis Díaz Manzaneradue to the agreement reached by the Public Prosecutor’s Office with businessmen accused of prostitution of at least 11 minor girls, which has avoided prison sentences.
For the lawyer, said agreement is “suspected of having been followed by non-legal criteria.” The “inexplicable” reduction of sentences for those accused of prostituting minors using delays or delays in the procedure “is unprecedented,” Mazón indicates in his complaint, to which this newspaper has had access.
The Provincial Court of Murcia recently announced the suspension of the execution of prison sentences of ten pedophile businessmen convicted of prostitution of minors in Murcia, after the agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office that had reduced the requests for sentences to less than two years in prison due to the delays suffered in the procedure, which has been judged 10 years after the events occurred.
It should be noted that the Prosecutor’s Office reached an agreement with the convicts without the victims knowing, since none of them were present in the procedure.
The Provincial Court announced a few days ago that only three people related to the plot will go to jail: two recruiters and a man who transported the minors to the places where they were prostituted. The court has sentenced them to six years in prison, considering them to be the most responsible for the minor prostitution network. The other ten convicts have been released due to the agreement with the Murcia Prosecutor’s Office.
“There are indications that the principle of legality and impartiality has been grotesquely violated by the chief prosecutor Manzanera and by the intervening prosecutors, who have invoked mitigating circumstances for undue delays with a generosity never seen before,” the complaint states.
Mazón requests the Tax Inspection to open an investigation into the “strange circumstances” that have led to this pact with the pedophile businessmen and ask to be considered a party to the procedure.
On September 11, 2024, the Provincial Court of Murcia issued the ruling on the pimps and aggressors who paid to have sex with the minor victims of a sexual exploitation network that was uncovered in 2014. The ruling, to which he has had access Publicconsiders proven the crimes of recruitment and exploitation of at least 11 adolescents for forced prostitution.
Due to the seriousness of the crimes contained in said court ruling, the agreement of the Prosecutor’s Office motivated by delays would not be justified, according to the Murcia lawyer.
