In his opinion, programs like this serve to contribute to solve the existing gap between demand for profiles and qualifications of workersgenerating employment and promoting the growth of the industrial sector.
Generational change
At the momentone in five contracts is being discontinued due to the oversaturation of companies in the sector whose workload is high. Even so, they cannot find enough professionals to take on more projects since many are practically at 100% productive capacity.
In fact, the president of Asime encrypted in 5,000 vacancies in metal that urgently need to be filled. The Minister of Emprego spoke along the same lines, who highlighted the job placement of the program. Furthermore, it has claimed the importance of “going hand in hand” with the productive fabric to provide it with the training it needs in order to fill vacancies and enhance its competitiveness.
In a statement, the Xunta explained that, due to the “convinction of the effectiveness of this type of tools”, the budget allocation for this year’s call has been increased, up to almost 12 million euros.
Thus, it will be expanded to the 5,800 people the number of unemployed who will be able to improve their job opportunities within the framework of these special employment centers. Precisely Asime was a beneficiary once again in this 2024 call.
