After a Brazilian Grand Prix that has brought new disappointment for Aston Martin, team manager Mike Krack has analyzed the automotive reasons for the low positions of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. On the Brazilian circuit, the rain became an ally of the English team, helping both drivers reach the third qualifying session (Q3).
However, problems would not take long to arrive. The Canadian could not even start because he lost control of his car on the formation lap, which caused him to remain immobile without the possibility of starting.
Alonso started the race without problems and initially stayed in the points zone, but the lack of stability of the car forced the Asturian to leave the track, which relegated him to fifteenth position. He could only overtake Guanyu Zhou.
Aston Martin team manager Mike Krack emphasizes what happened in the last circuits. “It has been a brutal triplet (compared to the results in Austin, Mexico and Brazil) and without points, something that takes its toll on the team that works on the track and in the factory,” highlights the Luxembourger.
The engineer has made self-criticism and blames the team for the poor results. “We have to take responsibility for not giving Lance and Fernando the car they deserve. “They are being very patient, but we are asking too much of them right now,” adds Krack.
