The population of Catalonia As of July 1, 2024, there are 8,067,454 inhabitants, an interannual growth of over 100,000 inhabitants (1.2%) and more than 50,000 people during the first half of the year. The population by demarcations
From the beginning of 2024, the population increases in the four Catalan demarcations: Barcelona in 37,429 people, Girona at 5,366, to Lleida in 2,862 y.a. Tarragona at 5,191. In general terms and in relative terms, the population increases the most in Girona and Tarragona, with an interannual increase of 1.3% each year. In Barcelona the interannual growth is 1.2% and Lleida is 1.1%.
