Many people who say they have a silver car actually only have a silver vehicle. The difference may seem subtle, but it is relevant.
Honda has unveiled a unique example of the popular Civic e:HEV hybrid modelwith a special silver paint that comes as: the silver more silver of the worldand in fact it is not called Silveriest Silver (the silveriest silver) by chance. Well, maybe you already imagine what it is about.
Silver color or silver color?
The choice of the element makes sense as it marks 25 years (exactly, like a silver anniversary) since the launch of the first hybrid propulsion model in Europe, in autumn 1999, with the Insight. However, as is already well known, the present and future path of the Japanese brand is oriented towards electricity.
The painting Silveriest Silver It is a very special one, created by one of the references of color such as the artist Stuart Semplewhich in the past had already introduced us to other interesting tones, such as Pinkest Pink (the pinkest pink), the Goldiest Gold (the most golden gold) or the Blackest Black (the blackest black). Also in the body of the special Honda Civic e:HEV celebration model, as in previous customized deliveries, there are high-quality materials: in particular, Semple has packaged a special acrylic suspension with 64% scales and pigments real silver. The result can already be seen in the photos, because the surface seems to be forged in the precious and solid metal, as if it were a sculpture, or a small silver cup.
The application of the paint on the vehicle was carried out under carefully controlled conditions in the specialized studio The Syrup Room of Bournemouth, UK, applying several preliminary preparatory coats before applying the final coat using high precision spraying to achieve a perfect finish. He Honda Insight was Europe’s first gasoline-electric hybrid car when it debuted in 1999, but the Japanese company’s path is now advancing towards fully electric models, equipped with the e:HEV propulsion systemand which are based on high power density lithium-ion batteries and an advanced hardware own.
