The Chamber of Commerce of the Valencian Community has released a statement in which it makes a list of which municipalities in the province have been most affected by what is the biggest cold drop of this century. There are a total of 65 municipalities located between the regions of L’Horta Sud, La Plana de Utiel-Requena, La Hoya de Buñol, La Ribera Alta, L’Horta Sud, El Camp del Turia and also some of the Ribera Baja and Los Serranos plus three neighborhoods in the city of Valencia.
This translates into a total of “845,371 inhabitants, 31.8 percent of the population of the province of Valencia”indicates in its report the Chamber of Commerce. These data focus on the places that have suffered the most cuts in supplies such as water, gas, electricity and communications, in addition to significant damage to infrastructure and human losses.
In the document that analyzes the consequences of the passage of this catastrophic DANA, they have explained that this has had consequences on all types of economic activities and they focus on the 54,289 companies and 354,000 workers residing between these municipalities.
From the Chamber of Commerce too It is explained that in 32 of these localities the damage is considered “severe or very serious.” due to its consequences in the loss of human life, impact on large urbanized areas and the severity of the consequences on housing, infrastructure and services, with a high degree of impact on local economic activity.
The municipalities that have been most affected, according to the data available to date, have been: Alaquàs, Albal, Aldaia, Alfafar, Algemesí, Benetússer, Catarroja, Llocnou de la Corona, Massanassa, Paiporta, Picanya, Sedaví, Utiel and the La Torre neighborhood of the city of Valencia.
In all of them it has been possible to register “losses of merchandise and products”, “flooding of warehouses and distribution centers”, “transportation problems”, and “problems with access to businesses”.
