The Minister of Economy, Carlos Bodyindicated this Sunday that the first payments from the insurers of those affected by DANA are expected to arrive at the end of next week.
“There are many requests, more than 35,800 in just four days. We hope that the first payments will begin to arrive at the end of next week,” according to Body in a message on its X account, after detailing that the Insurance Compensation Consortium is already carrying out assessments of damage caused by the floods to compensate before those affected by DANA.
He has detailed that more than 400 experts in the area affected by DANA and that, in addition, have the collaboration of insurers and mediators, who have made their professionals available.
Corps has assured that they continue “with their hearts in their mouths”, making available everything necessary to help those affected by DANA and has specified that compensation requests can be requested from Insurance Compensation Consortium or through the insurance companies themselves.
The Insurance Compensation Consortium specifies that damages caused to insured persons and property will be covered, such as homes, automobiles, businesses, industries or civil works. Also accommodation expenses due to uninhabitable housing or loss of income due to the stoppage of economic activity. The Consortium indemnifies under the conditions of the original policy.
Requests can be made at any time on the web of the Insurance Compensation Consortium or by phone or by calling the contracted insurance entity or the mediator, who would be in charge of giving the report to the Consortium.
