A dangerous goods train derailed this Thursday as it passed through the Guadalajara town of Matillaswhich has caused the road to be cut, although there have been no leaks of the transported liquids.
The 112 emergency service of Castilla-La Mancha has explained that around 6:20 a.m. that Thursday, an alert call was received in which it was reported that a train carrying liquid dangerous goods has derailed and that, due to the derailment, the track on that railway section has had to be cut.
These same sources have specified that there have been no liquid leaks and that, although an ambulance has been sent to the scene as a preventive means, it was not ultimately necessary because no personal injuries have been reported.
Furthermore, it has had to be cut GU-157 due to the presence of remains from the derailment on the road. The Civil Guard, Sigüenza firefighters have also attended the scene, and have verified that there have been no leaks of dangerous goods, those responsible for Adif and road maintenance.
For his part, in his profile on the social network Railway Infrastructure Administrator (Adif) has reported that circulation between Baides and Matillas, on the Madrid-Grisén conventional gauge line, is interrupted due to the departure of several axles of a freight train.
For this reason, an alternative transportation plan has been established with road transfers between Jadraque and Sigüenza.
