The circulation on the high-speed line that connects Valencia and Madrid will remain suspended, at least, for the next four days -until Sunday, November 3 inclusive-, as a result of the effects produced by the rainy season that has affected the Valencian Community in recent hours.
Adif has thus confirmed the forecast advanced by the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, who had assured that it did not seem possible to rresume the movement of trains, given that the damage to infrastructure caused by DANA is “significant.”
The infrastructure manager has issued a statement in which he defends that he continues working on the supervision of the railway infrastructure, but its repair will depend on the evolution of the emergency situation generated in the province of Valencia by the DANA “and always under the orders and following the instructions of the State Security Corps and Forces and the emergency services.”
In addition, circulation through the Mediterranean Corridor remains suspended, so that trains between Valencia and Barcelona remain, for the moment, not operating. Nor will the Valencia Cercanías core resume its normal operations at the moment.
Some of these services could be recovered in the next few hours depending on the meteorological evolution and the state of the railway infrastructure. Adif, in coordination with Renfe, will open the trains again tonight if necessary. stations of Valencia Joaquín Sorolla, Valencia Nord, Madrid Chamartín Clara Campoamor and Madrid Atocha to serve people who may need it.
They have been affected almost 24,000 people who were going to travel in this relationship, so over the next four days, the number could reach 125,000 affected travelers.
All tickets purchased They may be canceled or changed without cost, although none of the three companies have yet established alternative options.
