The moment in which a footbridge is destroyed in Paiporta after a river floods

The images of the destruction of the DANA –which already leaves a balance of seven missing– They are devastating. Entire towns in the southeast of the Peninsula have been devastated after the floods caused by the intense rainfall that has affected the Valencian Community, Andalusia, Murcia and Albacete. Among the most affected towns in the Valencian Community are Utiel –where the Magro river has overflowed– and Paiporta, in which a flood has also washed away a walkway.

The Picanya City Council has reported that the Poyo ravine has crossed all the bridges and that the water has washed away a walkway that connects this municipality in the metropolitan area of ​​Valencia with that of Paiporta, and has urged the population to stay in their homes.

That ravine in Paiporta has also overflowed, where, according to the mayor, Maribel Albalat, it has caused flooding in homes and residents are trapped. The City Council of this municipality has warned on its social networks that the bridges are cut and asks his neighbors not to leave their homes.
