Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior reacted this afternoon to the racist insults suffered by Barcelona players Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati and Raphinha from a section of fans on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. Vinícius used his account on the social network X to express his rejection of the events while posting Real Madrid’s statement on the matter.
“What happened yesterday at the Bernabéu with racist insults is regrettable. There is no room for these criminals (criminals) in our society. All my support to Lamine, Ansu and Raphinha. I know that Madrid and the police are going to do things to identify and punish the culprits!!”, wrote the Brazilian.
“All my support for Lamine, Ansu and Raphinha”
Vinícius has been in the spotlight on issues of racism for two seasons, especially since he received insults of this type at Mestalla, which generated a lot of dust. Since then, Vinícius has been at the center of chapters linked to racism and has championed the fight against it.
Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati and Raphinha suffered racist insults at the Bernabéu such as “fucking Moor, fucking black, go sell scarves at a traffic light.” Madrid has announced the opening of an investigation, LaLiga has reported it to the Police, the Higher Sports Council has said that the Anti-Violence Commission will meet this Monday and the Government has expressed its rejection and condemnation.
