The opposition requests the appearance of Ayuso’s couple and Feijóo’s brother-in-law in the Galician Parliament commission

The BNG and the PSdeG are going to ask Alberto González Amador, partner of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and Alberto Núñez Feijóo’s brother-in-law, Ignacio Cárdenas, to appear before the investigative commission created in the Parliament of Galicia. The names, reported by Cadena SER, appear in the work plan proposals that the two formations are developing and that must be registered on Monday the 28th. Among the requests, whose approval will be in the hands of the majority that the PP has, There will also be those of Feijóo himself, his cousin Eloína Núñez and his sister, Micaela Núñez. They have also announced that they expect the presence of the current president of the Xunta, Alfonso Rueda, who has already said that he has “no problem” in going.

The commission, promoted by the BNG taking advantage of a point in the regulations that allows a body of this type to be created with the vote of 25 deputies from the same group -those with the nationalist formation-, began with the control of the PP, that he has reserved the presidency and has imposed rules in which his majority will be sufficient to approve or discard the points of the work plan. Both BNG and PSdeG requested that a qualified two-thirds majority be necessary. The purpose of the commission is to investigate the Xunta’s emergency contracts during the pandemic, the construction – which is an extra cost – of the Álvaro Cunqueiro hospital in Vigo and the orders to Eulen, the company in which Feijóo’s sister is a director.

Alberto González Amador’s request to appear is justified by his relationship with the Galician company Mape Asesores. This is one of the firms that sold medical supplies necessary in the pandemic to the Galician Government, in this case, with markups of 37%. The name of this company is related to Isabel Díaz Ayuso’s partner because in 2020 it provided a commission of 2 million euros to González Amador for a purchase from FCS Select Products SL. The BNG will demand that Fernando Camino Maculet, member of the board of directors of Mape Asesores, and Gumersindo Cachafeiro Gómez, the president of this company, also pass through the Parliament of Galicia.

The opposition also wants to hear the explanations of Feijóo’s brother-in-law, Ignacio Cárdenas – brother of Eva Cárdenas -, commercial director of Universal Support. This company, with no prior relationship with health, was in charge of tracking infections during the pandemic in Galicia. As published The Jumpobtained 204,076.18 euros in contract hires between 2020 and 2022.

The socialists also indicate that they will request that Eloína Núñez Masid appear, until a few months ago manager of the health area of Santiago and Barbanza, which was one of the bodies that contracted with Eulen, the company in which Micaela Núñez Feijóo, sister of the former president of the Xunta is director for the northwest.
