Several participants from a school that has visited the judicial instance have asked their questions. “How does it feel to be the first female president?” a girl asked. In response, the magistrate has emphasized her happiness. “Feel very happy to be the first woman because it is a recognition of the people who work in the world of Justice,” he answered.
In this sense, he explained the evolution that the judicial career has experienced since its inception. «When I was born you couldn’t be a judge. Women could not be judges“, she stressed to highlight that “now the majority of women who enter the judicial career are judges” and that they can “even become presidents of the TS.”
With the support of the Constitution, he explained to the students that “apart from the idea that judges send people to jail, fundamentally their job is to protection of fundamental rights».
Promote students’ vocations
Regarding his new tasks, he has shown himself with “a lot of enthusiasm” but also with “a lot of responsibility” because “it is a complicated moment in Justice”. “We have to greatly support the work of judges, our daily work which is to apply and recognize the laws and the rule of law,” he told the children.
Asked about her assessment of the profession, she explained several reasons for encouraging minors. «Because this work, really, is very beautiful. He has a lot of effort but this thing about being a judge and Justice is a world worth», he emphasized, giving the starting signal to these open days.
