Banca March and Azora announced this Wednesday an 85 million co-investment project in Romano Senior, a SOCIMI dedicated to nursing homes that has 16 centers throughout the country and more than 2,200 geriatric beds.
Banca March explained that a high percentage of the buildings acquired are newly built and all of them have long-term rental contracts with leading specialized operators in the market such as Domusvi, Colisee, Amavir and Emeis. The combination of the Adriano Care and Romano Senior Socimis, projects in which Banca March co-invests with its clients, It represents the largest portfolio of assets for the elderly in Spain, with a total of 38 assets and 5,200 beds.
The banking entity indicated that with this type of initiatives it aims to respond to one of the most important challenges of society, the aging of the population and the need to improve care for the elderly with projects that generate multiple social impacts. Likewise, he pointed out that these initiatives provided employment for a growing number of people.
He also stressed that co-investment is “a hallmark and maximum expression of commitment” to its clientswho participate as partners in the same investment vehicles or projects in which Banca Marcha participates. “In accordance with this philosophy of alignment of interests, over the years, the bank has co-invested with more than 9,100 clients through its institutional Sicavs (Torrenova, Lluc and Bellver), liquid Co-investment modalities that at the end of June of 2024 amounted to a volume under management of 1,920 million euros,” the bank said.
Regarding the modality of unlisted co-investment (projects in the real economy and Private Equity fund of funds), since 2008 Banca March indicated that it has committed 3,410 million euros in illiquid assets together with its more than 3,100 co-investors.
Finally, the bank recalled a few weeks ago the entity announced the launch of March PE Global IIIthe new investment project in Private Equity funds of funds, whose objective is to raise 350 million euros, of which the bank will commit 20%
