The Civil Guard announced at noon this Tuesday the discovery of the lifeless bodies of the Murcian marriage who was traveling aboard a small plane that had been lost since last Friday morning.
La Benemérita, which coordinated an intense search in which air and ground means of the Infoca and of Air Forceexplained that they had found the charred bodies, as well as remains of the ultralight, in the vicinity of the Navalperal Peakin the Sierra de Segura, in the municipality of Orcera. Specifically in the area of The Acebeas, in a place very close to the provincial border with Albacete.
At this moment they are participating in the rescue of the effective bodies of SAir Service and GREIM of the Civil Guard.
The last communication with the plane’s controls had occurred at 9:40 on Friday, when Alfonso, its pilot, shared with the airport Beas de Segura their concern about the lack of visibility. From there they advised him to wait for the accumulation of fog and clouds, even to turn around towards Totana -from where they had left hours before- if it was possible.
He was a 68-year-old retired firefighter with extensive experience in driving this means of transportation. In fact, he was a partner of Totana Aeroclub. He was accompanied on board by his partner, Isabel, a 65-year-old health professional well known for her work as a caretaker at the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital.
The reason that led them to fly over the Cazorla Natural Park was to spend a few days with relatives. The outcome has been the worst possible.
