After a long break, the Formula 1 World Championship gets back on track with a battle on a new continent. The competition lands in the USA. The nineteenth test of the year will be held there, which will be run on the Austin circuit.
The Englishman Lando Norris (McLaren) will have a new opportunity to continue closing the gap on the triple world champion, the Dutch Max Verstappen (Red Bull). Both are only separated by 52 points (331 versus 279).
The championship couldn’t be more open. Everything indicates that McLaren will be the favorites this weekend, while Ferrari may suffer on the street circuits that benefited them, although in Singapore they did not obtain the expected result.
After maximizing his result in Marina Bay, Max Verstappen arrives with quite a bit of confidence. However, it is a Sprint weekend, so Lando Norris could shave more points than normal from the current champion. As for Fernando Alonso, he arrives after several weekends scoring more points than he should have with his Aston Martin.
