Assassin’s Creed Shadowsthe new installment in the popular series of action and adventure games from Ubisoft, will go on sale next November 15 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The French multinational has announced the release date of the game coinciding with the publication of its first cinematic trailer. As was already known, the title will be set in feudal Japan.
The story will be set in the year 1579, a time when the Japanese country is on the way to a unification process, and will allow the player to control two characters with two very different styles: a ninja warrior named Naoe and a powerful African samurai named Yasuke. The trailer, which can be seen below, does not show images generated with the game’s graphics engine.
The development of the game is being led by Ubisoft Quebec, the team that was already in charge of Assassin’s Creed Odysseythe installment set during ancient Greece and one of the most acclaimed within this franchise with almost twenty years of history.
One of the new features of this new iteration will be a season system in which the scenario changes depending on whether it is spring, summer, autumn or winter. Another newly announced feature is the ability for players to create a customizable hideout that will also be used to train recruits.
Although this first video Assassin’s Creed ShadowIf it still does not show images of the gameplay, it is expected that Ubisoft will show something more about the title during the presentation they will hold on June 10.
On the other hand, it has also just been announced that Ubisoft has canceled the development of the video game The Division: Heartlanda new installment within this series of action games that was announced in 2021. According to the company, the reason for this cancellation is due to plans to “redistribute resources to larger areas and give more opportunity to XDefiant and Rainbow Six”, two other multiplayer action games that the multinational has.
