Reocín will celebrate from October 22 to 24 the seventh edition of the Disability Conference that will take place in the Puente San Miguel House of Culture from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
These conferences will bring together experts, associations, patients, families and professionals from the disability sector who will debate and exchange experiences on different topics of interest such as mental health or ALS.
Specifically, on Tuesday the 22nd We will talk about good practices in the treatment of people with disabilities, opportunities and support for access to employment, and ALS.
While, on Wednesday the 23rd A new model of support for the legal capacity of people with disabilities will be addressed; mental health and disability; ‘outdoorlearning’, learning in nature; and a round table will take place on social programs at ONCE.
Finally, the event will end on Thursday 24 with the association table, with Cocemfe on physiotherapy and self-care and Fescan on older deaf people. In addition, we will talk about social care and cancer prevention, care for families and assisted intervention with animals.
The mayor, Pablo Diestro, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Fernando Callejo, have presented the event and have indicated in a press release that it has established itself as “a meeting point for people with disabilities and professionals in the sector.” .
These conferences, the councilor has valued, are a space to “share experiences and knowledge” about a sector “in continuous progress, as has been seen recently with the approval of the ELA Law,” he said.
For his part, the councilor has indicated that at the event there will be a “wide variety of presentations that will touch on different fields of disability.”
These conferences are also an “opportunity” to learn about and share “first-person experiences”, with the collaboration of associations that work in the sector, Callejo highlighted.
