The Barcelona studio Mango Protocol has just published its video game Clem on PlayStation and Xbox. This narrative adventure stars a mysterious rag doll and is set in a 19th century Catalan farmhouse. The game went on sale last February for PC and Nintendo Switch and as of today it is also available on Sony and Microsoft consoles.
The new title of this small study indie It invites the player to immerse themselves in a dark story while exploring each of the rooms of an apparently abandoned house. Clem It is part of the so-called “Psychotic Adventures”, a set of adventures that Mango Protocol has been developing since the beginning of the studio in 2012 and which also includes titles such as Mechanika, Agatha Knife and Colossus Down. Although they can be played completely independently, the stories of their games make up a very interesting narrative project in which mystery, irreverence and a great sense of humor intermingle.
One of the highlights of Clemand the rest of the studio’s works, is the visual style with hand-drawn elements by its art director, Mariona Valls. Together with his colleagues, Javier Gálvez and Jordi Garcia, he has built a great narrative puzzle that successfully recovers the spirit of the classic graphic adventures of the 90s.
