Reuters: Ukrainian Armed Forces troops remaining in Vugledar may be completely isolated
The troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) remaining in Vugledar are in a difficult situation – they are suffering heavy losses and can be completely isolated. The agency reports this Reuters.
It is argued that the capture of the city by the Russian army will enable it to supply its units more efficiently. This will also allow her to make serious progress along the entire front line.
“Defenders will be driven into a corner with no entry or exit. Control of the city is an important goal for both sides due to its high elevation location. The capture of Ugledar will open the way for Russian troops to advance to other positions,” the material states.
Earlier, a member of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Andrei Kolesnik, spoke about the fate of Ugledar after the transition to Russian control. “A good fate awaits Ugledar. It will become a civilized, normal city and fortified area. Our country will restore it, and people there will live normally and happily,” he said.
