In Fano a 14 year old lost his life following an illness: his last words
A real tragedy that has struck the community of Fano this morning when a 14 year old he was taken ill while at school. The medical staff’s efforts to revive him were in vain. Meanwhile, the controversy over anti-vax and the possible implications of vaccines is unleashed on social media.
This morning, during the first hours of school, a 14-year-old was taken ill while in class. A real tragedy which took place this morning at the school Olivetti, in Fano. A young man of just 14 years old accused a sicknesscollapsing to the ground unconscious. The young man allegedly asked the teacher to go to the bathroom because he wasn’t feeling well.
The illness in the classroom
After going to the toilet, the boy collapsed on the floor. His classmates and teachers immediately helped him and promptly alerted the 118. When paramedics arrived, the young man was in cardiac arrest. Despite attempts at cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of defibrillator nothing was able to save this young life. The parents, classmates and the entire teaching staff are in shock over this terrible loss. The 14-year-old was suffering from heart problems and for this very reason an autopsy was not ordered.
Criticisms on social media
Lots of messages from condolences and closeness reached the family also thanks to social media. Even the mayor of Fano, Luca Serfilippi, expressed closeness and condolences for the family who is facing a terrible loss. Among the many messages there are also some relating to the hypothetical causes of death. In fact, some anti-vaxxers have gone wild, speculating that the young man’s death is linked to vaccines. One of the young man’s relatives wanted to clarify that the boy had suffered from heart problems even before the vaccines, since birth, and asked for respect for the family in this difficult moment.
