Ciudad Juarez.- The Germán Valdez Tin Tan Art Gallery offers the public different activities that take place during the week free of charge.
Antonio Ramos Solís, the museum’s curator, said that a mural by Germán Valdez had just been inaugurated and the movie theater “El barco de la ilusión” had opened.
He mentioned that on Sundays there is an attendance of up to 300 people, which is why the exhibition rooms are open where the actor’s film stage is reflected, his beginnings, career and the knowledge he received during his career.
On the occasion of Germán Valdez’s birthday (September 19), a mural and the movie theater “El barco de la ilusión” were inaugurated this week, where there are weekly movie screenings.
The mural was made by local artist Francisco Chávez Pica. It measures more than three square meters and is located on one of the walls of the reception room.
In addition to this, there are activities on Saturdays with tango classes, where you only have to show up, without the need to register, and at 12:30 there are Hebrew classes and on Sundays at 10:00 in the morning, there are danzón classes.
Visitors from Spain and Argentina have come to the place, a country where they like the films of this character.
“Tin Tan is definitely a personality in world cinema, who had a lot of versatility: he was a dancer, singer and actor, which led him to be known worldwide for so many characters he played, not only as the ‘Golden Pachuco’, with which he reached other latitudes in the world,” said the interviewee.
The museum is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Verónica Domínguez)
