Marc Márquez of the Ducati Gresini team, third in the riders’ championship, took part in the Thursday press conference of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, the fourteenth round of the 2024 MotoGP world calendar. Below are his statements.
Expectations for the weekend
“They were definitely important points and the free practice sessions will be important to understand the track. There will be a different temperature. The second part of the race I was going very fast, let’s see what happens and hope to continue like this.”
The final rush
“We are driving better, especially from Austria. We have made a step forward, we are faster. I have already achieved this year’s goals, I would like to maintain this level.”
The double consecutive race
“A small mistake could be a big mistake, as we will all be close.”
Feeling on the bike
“Perfection does not exist. It is better if I compare myself to some pilots, but I’m happy with my level and what I’ve achieved. I want to focus on my weak points, but I’m starting to feel the bike better and what I need situation by situation.”
The whistles on the podium
“They have been there and they have already happened. Fans have their favorites, and that’s no reason to boo others. I didn’t notice from the podium, but then they showed me a video. I’m fine with that, it’s something we can try to block as drivers.”
